The “A trip down memory lane” exhibition runs until January 7, 2020, introducing 100 works Pham Luc created from 1961 to 2019.
Viewers will find themselves immersed in his art, indigenous culture, and history on a journey from the past to the present.
“I am very excited when my paintings are displayed on board Heritage Cruises, which was designed specifically for passengers to enjoy works of art in a natural setting of Halong Bay,” said Pham Luc.
Pham Ha, collector and owner of Heritage Cruises, said: “I was born in a rural region of the Red River Delta and grew up in a village where heritage, culture, and artistic values were appreciated. Pham Luc’s paintings bring back my childhood memories of the peaceful countryside, family love, hazy afternoons, tumbledown houses…
“His paintings helped me learn about our heritage, savor the memories of my life, live for the present, and hope for tomorrow as we journey towards happiness.”
Pham Luc's works feature a variety of topics including daily life, landscapes of the northern countryside, seascapes, abstract, nudes, and self-portraits. The artist used traditional materials such as lacquer and oil on paper. SGT
