The Ministry of National Defence on January 28 handed over the President’s decisions to seven officers who will be sent to the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA).

The Defence Ministry held a ceremony on April 9 to present the President’s decision to send Major Nguyen Phuc Dong from the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations, to take up a position at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The HCM City-based Military Hospital 175 on March 16 vaccinated 70 staff members of the second-grade Field Hospital No. 3 that is leaving on a peacekeeping mission in late March to South Sudan.

Major General Hoang Kim Phung, Director of the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations, affirmed that all preparations have been completed and the staff of the Level-2 Field Hospital No 3 are fully capable of replacing Hospital No.2.
