The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the Party’s Central Committee's Commission for External Relations and the National Assembly (NA)’s Committee on External Relations on August 11 signed an Agreement on their coordination on diplomatic information of Viet Nam’s overseas representative agencies.
The agreement is intended to support the implementation of the PM’s decision on a project to improve the efficiency of Viet Nam’s overseas representative agencies’ external information activities until 2020.
Under the agreement, related agencies will provide Viet Nam’s overseas missions with up-to-date information on issues of public interest and support them in organizing exchanges and promotion activities to introduce the nation’s images, and Party and State policies and diplomatic activities.
The Agreement is aimed at upholding the role of overseas representative agencies in enhancing cooperation between Party and NA agencies with their foreign partners.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Minh Khoi said he expected that the Agreement will strengthen coordination between the three diplomatic agencies in popularizing what is going on in Viet Nam worldwide in the context of the country's deeper international integration.
