On the morning of January 23 (24th day of the 12th lunar month), in honor of the Lunar New Year, Party and state leaders, along with former leaders, representatives from central ministries, and Hanoi officials, placed wreaths and visited the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh.
Paying homage to a great leader
Among those attending the ceremony were General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, and Standing Secretary of the Secretariat and Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Cam Tu.
The wreaths bore the inscription: “Forever grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh.”
The delegation expressed deep respect and gratitude for President Ho Chi Minh’s immense contributions to the nation. He devoted his life to the people and the country, leading the Party and the Vietnamese people to glorious victories, elevating the nation and its legacy.
Honoring national heroes
After visiting the mausoleum, the delegation proceeded to the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street, where they laid wreaths and offered incense in remembrance of the martyrs.
The wreaths at the monument bore the inscription: “Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs.”
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates paid tribute to the brave sons and daughters of the nation who sacrificed their lives for national liberation, unification, socialism, and international solidarity.
On the same morning, delegations from the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Hanoi government also placed wreaths and paid their respects at the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh and the Monument to Heroic Martyrs.
These acts of remembrance during the Lunar New Year reflect the profound gratitude of the Vietnamese people toward their leaders and martyrs who shaped the nation’s history.
