VietNamNet Bridge – “Paracel and Spratly islands belong to Vietnam – Historical evidence” exhibition by the Ministry of Information and Communications in cooperation with the Government Office and the HCMC People’s Committee will be held at the Reunification Palace Hall from Thursday until August 29.

This exhibition has added some valuable paperwork which provides documental resources on the sovereignty over the two archipelagoes of Paracel and Spratly. The same exhibitions also took place in Ha Tinh in June and in Hanoi in July.  

The exhibition in HCMC will showcase nearly 150 maps, documents, text, objects and printed publications which have been produced over the years by domestic and foreign researchers and scholars.

The main documents include versions of Han-Nom texts, versions of Vietnamese and French languages issued by Vietnamese monarchy periods from the 17th century to the early 20th century; a collection of 95 maps proving the sovereignty of Vietnam over the two archipelagos in the East Sea announced by Vietnam, Western nations and China from the 16th century until now; four atlas sets published by China in 1908, 1917, 1919 and 1933; among others. In addition, some images and documents on the economic development, social and cultural activities in the Paracel and Spratly islands that have been captured lately will also be displayed at the exhibition.

The Reunification Palace Hall is located at 135 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street in District 1.
