VietNamNet Bridge - At the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition by artist Vi Quoc Hiep on Sunday, the portrait of Da Lat’s "father" - French doctor Alexandre Yersin, which is made of 10,000 peas was recognized as a Vietnam record.

With the theme "Da Lat ancient villas - 35 years," artist Vi Quoc Hiep brought 120 paintings to the exhibition at Hoa Binh Center (Da Lat city, Lam Dong province), representing 120 years of Da Lat’s formation and development.
The paintings focus on ancient villas of Da Lat, which were made in the past 5 years. There are also some pictures of flowers, young women and especially a portrait of Dr. Alexandre Yersin, made of 10,000 peas.
The picture is 1.5 m height, 1.1 m wide, made from 6kg of 9 species of beans. The work was made in two months and it is recognized as the painting that is made from the largest volume of beans.
In addition to Dr. Yersin’s portrait, the painting also has the grandeur Lang Bian mountain of Lam Vien Plateau, the white clouds surrounding the Love Valley, famous waterfalls in Da Lat, and wild flowers along the roadside.
According to Hiep, 10 days after the exhibition, the portrait of doctor Yersin will be auctioned, starting at $5,000. Part of the revenue will be donated to the poor.
