According to the National Funeral Organizing Committee for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, from 7am to midnight on July 25, and from 7am to noon on July 26, over 5,600 delegations (with more than 252,000 individuals) visited to pay their respects.

The services were held at the National Funeral Hall, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong (Hanoi), the Reunification Hall (Ho Chi Minh City), and the Party Chief’s hometown in Lai Da village, Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district (Hanoi).

Leaders and former leaders of the Party and State, various ministries, departments, local authorities, units, armed forces, diplomatic delegations, international organizations, and the general public attended the memorial services, offering condolences and floral tributes to the late General Secretary's family.

At the National Funeral Hall, there were 434 delegations (with 136,886 individuals), in Dong Anh, there were 1,588 delegations (with 56,600 individuals), and at the Reunification Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, there were 3,585 delegations (with 58,532 individuals) paying their respects.

A total of 100 international delegations visited the memorial services at the National Funeral Hall and the Reunification Hall.

The National Funeral Organizing Committee for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also reported that over 483,000 individuals accessed the electronic condolence book on VNeID to write their messages of sympathy.

On the evening of July 25, due to the large number of mourners, the visitation hours at the National Funeral Hall were extended until midnight. In Ho Chi Minh City and at the General Secretary’s hometown in Dong Anh, the visitation hours were extended until 11pm instead of the initially planned 10pm.

A total of 32 international delegations visited or sent floral tributes to the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi, and 64 international delegations did so in Ho Chi Minh City.

Among these were 27 international leaders who visited Vietnam to attend the memorial services, 91 diplomatic missions that visited in Hanoi (signing the condolence book at the Government Guest House, No. 2 Le Thach), and 27 Consulates General that visited in Ho Chi Minh City.

More than 100 overseas Vietnamese representatives visited and signed the condolence book at the Government Guest House in Hanoi.

Over 3,000 delegations visited General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at 94 Vietnamese representative offices abroad, with many countries’ leaders attending, including those from Laos, China, Cambodia, Cuba, Australia, and the United Nations.

In total, 101 countries/territories and 21 international organizations/forums sent 392 letters, telegrams, and messages of condolence. These included 115 messages through Party channels, 140 through State channels, and 137 through people-to-people channels.
