On the morning of March 29, more than 1,000 women and 500 students from the Vietnam Women’s Academy, dressed in ao dai featuring the red flag with a yellow star, participated in a parade and formed a map of Vietnam at Hoan Kiem Lake pedestrian street.

The event, organized by the Vietnam Women’s Union and Vietnam Women’s Newspaper, aimed to promote National Ao Dai Week, an initiative launched in 2019 to celebrate Vietnamese culture and heritage through the traditional ao dai. This nationwide campaign continues to inspire love and pride for the country and its people.

Nguyen Thi Tuyen, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women’s Union, Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Vice Chairwoman, and Be Thi Bang, winner of the "Moonlight Beauty" contest, were among the prominent participants at the parade.

Speaking at the event, 20-year-old Lan Ngoc expressed her feelings: “This activity, with hundreds of young women in national flag ao dai forming the Vietnamese map, is not only a symbol of solidarity but also a powerful affirmation of the vital role women play in preserving and developing the nation.”

The parade brought together women leaders, officials of the Vietnam Women’s Union, Hanoi Women's Union members, invited guests, and students from the Vietnam Women’s Academy. The sight of over 1,000 women holding red flags and singing the national anthem created a vibrant and emotional scene, representing the strength and pride of Vietnamese women as they step confidently into a new era.

The activity also aimed to highlight the crucial role of women in the community, emphasizing their pride in the traditional ao dai and their steadfast commitment to the country's progress.
