The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has provided an updated 10-day weather forecast for Vietnam, covering the period from January 30 to February 8, 2025.

According to meteorologists, the continental high-pressure system (cold air mass) over Vietnam will remain stable before gradually weakening and shifting eastward. By February 2-3, another surge of cold air is expected, followed by a period of stability before weakening again.

In addition, an upper-level wind convergence at around 1,500 meters is expected to develop over Northern Vietnam from February 2-3.

Due to these weather patterns, Northern Vietnam, including Hanoi, will see scattered light rain today (January 30), with sunny intervals in the afternoon.

From January 31 to February 2, early morning fog and drizzle will be widespread, particularly in lowland and coastal areas, where light rain and mist will persist. The nights and early mornings will remain chilly.

A notable weather change is expected from the night of February 2 to February 3, when an incoming cold front will bring scattered rain showers. From February 3 onward, temperatures will drop significantly, with mountainous regions experiencing severe cold.

In North-Central Vietnam, from January 30 to February 2, there will be occasional light rain. Early morning fog is expected from January 31 onward, with sunny spells in the afternoon. From February 3-4, scattered rain showers will return, followed by a few dry days. The region will experience cold weather, with early mornings and nights being particularly chilly.

In Central Vietnam, from January 30 to February 2, only isolated light showers are expected, with mostly sunny afternoons starting January 31. However, from February 3 onward, rain showers will become more frequent. The region will remain cool, with colder temperatures at night and in the early morning from January 31 to February 3.

For South-Central Vietnam, the Central Highlands, and Southern Vietnam, the 10-day outlook (January 30 - February 8) indicates mostly sunny days, with localized showers and thunderstorms occurring in the late afternoon and evening.
