According to a 10-day weather outlook (March 30–April 8) released by the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, a new wave of cold air will continue to affect northern Vietnam, maintaining chilly and rainy conditions through early April.
From April 2–3 onward, temperatures are expected to gradually rise. In contrast, the Central Highlands and southern regions may experience intense heat, with a chance of unseasonal showers and thunderstorms.
The continental high-pressure cold front is forecast to strengthen and move southward on March 30–31 before stabilizing and gradually weakening.
Meanwhile, a low-pressure trough located around 4–7°N latitude is slowly shifting northward and will remain active until approximately April 2.
At higher altitudes, the subtropical ridge is extending westward and is expected to remain stable in intensity.
These systems will influence weather patterns nationwide over the next 10 days, with northern Vietnam being the most affected by the strengthened cold air mass.
