The temperature in the North increased by 5 to 6 degrees Celsius in the last two days. The National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecast said the lowest temperature in the northeastern provinces this week will be from 11-14 degrees Celsius and the highest temperature will be from 17 to 20 degrees Celsius.
 
The temperature at 7am on January 14 in Hanoi was measured at 13 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature forecast for the day is at 12 degrees and the highest at 19 degrees Celsius.

In the coming days, the highest temperature in Hanoi will even climb to 21 degrees.

In the north-west mountainous provinces, the lowest temperature will be between 10-13 degrees, the highest from 16-19 degrees and 20-23 degrees in some places.

On January 16 and 22, the North will have two cold spells. However, it is forecasted that the cold air will only make the temperature to decrease slightly.
 
By the end of January, there will have another cold spell in the north, causing severely cold weather on a large scale. The mountains such as Mau Son (Lang Son), Trung Khanh (Cao Bang), Sapa and Y Ty (Lao Cai) will have frost.
