In mid-June, a lotus pond in Ninh Binh burst into bloom, drawing thousands of visitors eager to take photos and "check-in."

Admission to the pond costs 100,000 VND per person. This popular tourist destination spans about 1 hectare and is located roughly three hours by motorbike from Hanoi.

Visitors often wear unique and eye-catching outfits, such as traditional ao yem, ao dai, and ancient dresses, accessorized with fans, hats, and lotus flowers for their photo sessions.

A photographer recommended the best times for photography are from 5:30 to 7:00 AM to avoid crowds or in the late afternoon when the sunlight is softer.

Rajesh's family, tourists from India, visited the pond straight from Noi Bai airport. "Many friends suggested that Ninh Binh is a beautiful, unique place that I must experience when coming to Vietnam," Rajesh shared.

The lotus variety grown here is a light pink Japanese lotus, which blooms from May to August annually.

Despite the hot weather, with temperatures reaching up to 36 degrees Celsius, many tourists braved the conditions to take photos with the lotus flowers. Some even hired photographers to capture their memories, with basic photo packages costing 300,000 VND per person, not including costumes. On peak days, a photographer's daily income can reach 7-8 million VND.

Lotus flowers are sold for 10,000 VND each, and costumes can be rented for 150,000 VND to 1 million VND, depending on their intricacy.

Thu Trang from Hanoi visited the pond at 6:30 AM. "I have to go early when it's not too crowded so that I can comfortably pose without other people in the frame," she said.

The 1-meter-wide path through the blooming lotus flowers, combined with the golden rice fields and distant mountains, creates a breathtaking scene that leaves many visitors in awe.
