Artists come from different ages – born between 1940 and 1984 - with the same passion for art and beauty of daily life.

Artist To Ngoc Thanh, son of late renowned To Ngoc Van, the oldest participant in the exhibition, shared that the event features over 100 paintings and Thanh himself brings 24 works about Sapa and daily activities of ethnic minorities people to the event.

“We wish to introduce to city audience latest works of Hanoi artists about the long-standing history of Hanoi.

Furthermore, we wish to learn more about spectators in HCMC and their taste of art,” Thanh added.

Artist Thanh Nga, the only female artist of the event, said that her 10 paintings depict her childhood and memory about Hanoi.

Especially, the piece “Long Bien Bridge – Childhood memory” was awarded the third prize of the 1,000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi in 2010.
