South Korean media on March 10 reported that the cast and crew of the famous drama ‘Marry My Husband’ departed from Incheon Airport in South Korea to Cam Ranh Airport in Vietnam.

The news caught the attention of Vietnamese fans. The pictures of the main actors and actresses at the airport were spread on social networks. Many young people are curious about the activities of the South Korean stars in Nha Trang.

Soon after arriving in Vietnam, Park Min Young, who plays the main role, held a short livestream to communicate with audiences.

Nha Trang has been chosen by many South Korea travelers, including showbiz artists, for their places for relaxation in recent years.

In early February 2023, a crew from South Korean Maeil Broadcasting Network and its actors and singers were present in Nha Trang to film to advertise Nha Trang’s tourism. 

The artists spent time to discover Vinwonders Nha Trang, experience mud bathing, go shopping at Xom Moi Market, and enjoy seafood at restaurants on the Cai Riverside.

In late May 2023, Eugene, who acted in Penhouse, also came to Nha Trang with her family members. She posted the images of Nha Trang beaches and food on her Instagram channel with the caption ‘Nha Trang - Vietnam so beautiful’. 

In late June 2023, the cast of Doctor Cha, also came to Nha Trang to celebrate the success of the drama.

In late July 2023, South Korean 2022 beauty queens Lee Seung Hyun and Choi Jung Yoon were seen in Nha Trang to shoot a vlog project on experiences in Vietnam’s famous tourism sites. They visited famous tourism sites such as Ponagar Cham Towers and Long Son Pagoda, kayaked at Hon Mun waters, took adventure tourism at Kong Forest Park, visited Memento tourism complex, and enjoyed local dishes.

In late December 2023, Kim Yoo Jung, the main female role of My Demon masterpiece, posted new pictures at a luxury resort on Ninh Van Bay of Khanh Hoa province on her Instagram channel, which has 9 million followers.

According to the information portal of the ROK’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, from January to November 2023, 7,324,875 South Korean tourists came to Vietnam, an increase of 220 percent over the same period the year before.

A high proportion of the tourists chose to visit Phu Quoc Island, Da Lat and the beach city of Nha Trang. The sites are attracting travelers thanks to reasonable service fees and diverse tourism activities.

According to the Khanh Hoa Tourism Department, in 2023, Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa received 2.1 million foreign travelers, and South Korea was the leading inbound tourism market with 1.3 million travelers, accounting for 56 percent of total foreign travelers to the province. Many of them were famous actors, singers and models.

Travel said that the average stay time in Vietnam of South Korean travelers is not as long as Chinese and Russian travelers, but they have high spending levels. Most South Korean travelers request high-end services, including golf, sea entertainment, and wellness tourism with mud bathing tours.

Nha Trang has 1,100 accommodation facilities, including 125 3-5-star facilities, a high number of luxurious resorts, and amusement areas.

Haps, a South Korean travel journal, has published articles showing five reasons not to miss visiting Nha Trang, including wonderful beaches, scuba-diving, thrilling sports at sea (water skiing, parasailing or windsurfing), historical and cultural treasures, and attractive food. 

The province hopes it will receive 9 million travelers this year, including 3 million foreign travelers and obtain revenue of VND40 trillion.
