Natural Thung Nham Bird Park a site for bird lovers

The Thung Nham ecotourism zone is part of The Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site located in Ninh Hai Commune in Hoa Lu District, about 12 km from the centre of Ninh Binh Town.
Entrance tickets to the zone cost VND100,000 (US$4.3) for adults and VND50,000 ($2.1) for children 0.8 - 1.3m tall. Visitors have to pay extra if they want a boat ride.
For VND20,000 (85 US cents) per turn, visitors can travel in a boat along the 500-metre length of the cave, holding flashlights to look at stalactites and other features.
From HCM City, visitors can take a flight to Ninh Binh in less than 1 hour or a train for seven to 12 hours. From Ninh Binh, visitors can take a taxi to Thung Nham for VND130,000-150,000 ($6-6.5). A motorbike can be rented for VND150,000 a day.
