On March 23, the Tay Ninh Provincial Police Department issued nationwide arrest warrants for three highly dangerous suspects:

Dao Xuan Loc (34), from Dong Nai

Nguyen Tuan Anh (32), from Ninh Binh

Nguyen Anh Duy (32), from Binh Dinh

The three men are wanted for the crime of armed robbery and are believed to have fled the area. Arrest warrants were initially issued on March 17, but the suspects have since escaped.

The shocking betrayal

The robbery occurred on March 10 at the residence of a wealthy businessman near the Moc Bai International Border Gate in Ben Cau District, Tay Ninh Province.

The most shocking detail is that the mastermind behind the crime was the victim’s own son, P.L.P. Desperate for money, P.L.P. learned that his father had brought home $2 million USD and devised a plan to steal it.

He conspired with the three fugitives - Loc, Anh, and Duy - to stage a fake police raid. The gang posed as criminal investigators, barging into the house and claiming they were conducting an inquiry regarding the large sum of cash.

Feigning authority, they ordered the businessman and his wife to prepare to visit the police station for questioning. In the midst of the confusion, the gang grabbed a bag containing the entire $2 million and fled.

The aftermath and police response

It was not until three days later that the businessman reported the crime to the authorities. Upon receiving the report, Tay Ninh Provincial Police quickly launched an investigation, managing to arrest two accomplices and recover the full amount of stolen money.

However, the three key suspects - Loc, Anh, and Duy - had already escaped. P.L.P., the businessman’s son, has been detained for investigation.
