He welcomed the Lao delegation to Vietnam to attend the upcoming 70th
anniversary of First General Election Day (January 6, 1946) and shared
with the guests milestones in the Vietnamese NA’s history.
Pany Yathotou congratulated the Vietnamese legislative body on its achievement in the past seven decades.
She said Laos appreciates support from Vietnam toward the country’s development progress.
Both sides agreed to forge cooperation and assist each other at regional and international forums.
In the immediate future, their efforts will focus on guiding the
implementation of agreements reached at an annual session between
Vietnamese and Lao politburos in December 2015 and the two countries’ 38
th inter-governmental committee meeting.
The two leaders also agree to give priority to carrying out the Vietnam-Laos cooperation pacts for 2016 and for 2016-2020.
National Assembly leader welcomes Cambodian counterpart
National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung has expressed wish that President of the Cambodian NA Heng Samrin will continue to promote bilateral ties in trade, education and border demarcation on the mainland for the benefit of the two peoples.
The Cambodian legislative leader is in Vietnam to attend a ceremony celebrating the 70th anniversary of General Election Day slated for January 6.
The host made it clear that Vietnam’s success and revolutionary cause is attributable to the support of the Cambodian people and legislature.
Heng Samrin, for his part, spoke highly of Vietnam’s growing prestige on international scene.
He believed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will reap more achievements.
Both sides also agreed to facilitate all-level visits, share law making experience and work closely together at parliamentary forums.
