According to travel operator Saigontourist, four cruise ships of US-based Celebrity Solstice will carry over 3,000 passengers of American, British, Australian, and Canadian nationalities to Vietnam on December 28 and January 5, January 21, and January 29, 2024.
The ships are scheduled to dock at Phu My Port in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, home to the popular beach city Vung Tau. They will bring foreigner tourists to different routes such as Nha Trang-Hue-Ha Long and Ha Long-Hue-Phu My.
Other luxury cruise ships such as Spectrum of the Seas with 3,500 passengers and crewmembers on board will sail to Nha Trang city on January 4 - 5.
Foreign travelers will be taken on a city tour of Ho Chi Minh City, as well as short trips to the Mekong Delta region and Ba Ria-Vung Tau province hosted by Saigontourist.
This year, Saigontourist has received more than 50 cruise ships, carrying thousands of international visitors to Vietnam.
Celebrity Solstice is the lead ship of the Solstice class of cruise ships operated by Celebrity Cruises. The vessel stretches for 314.86 metres in length, boasts a capacity of 2,852 passengers, and is rated as one of the most modern ships in the world.
Meanwhile, Spectrum of the Seas belongs to the Quantum-Ultra line of ships. It was manufactured by Meyer Werft of Germany, and put into service at the beginning of 2019. It is rated as the most modern ship in the world.
