As part of activities celebrating the national tourism year 2018, the three-day event features 100 stalls, of which 70 operated by Vietnamese companies and 30 by firms from Myanmar, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.
Ingredients for served dishes will be sourced from supermarket chain Fivimart to ensure food safety, with booth staff required to obtain a health certificate three months before taking part in the event.
The festival, to which entry is free, will open in Hanoi on April 20 in the Mon City My Dinh apartment complex at No 2 Le Duc Tho Street. Food presentation and art performances are set to run during its course starting 10 am.
The show will introduce Asian culinary delights to Ha Long City at the 30/10 Square from April 27 – 29. It will also treat local food lovers to hot-air balloon trips and a charity run.
Nguyen Huy Cuong, a member of the organising board, said participants will use coupons instead of cash at the festival.-VNA
