According to the club, Miura accepted the termination more than a year ahead of the contract’s expiry. Some news sources said that he would receive a USD20,000 payoff to cover the end of his contract.
Under the two-year contract signed with HCM City FC in January this year, the Japanese coach was paid a monthly salary of USD17,000.
Earlier, Miura expressed his hope to help HCM City FC to finish third in the V-League this season. However, the squad underperformed and currently sits 12th in the table.
This is the second time Miura has been sacked. In 2016, the Vietnam Football Federation decided to fire him two months early after a series of poor performances by the national team under his helm.
