On March 13, the Mister Tourism World Organization (MTWO) announced an investigation into the results of the 2025 competition and temporarily suspended the titles of the top six contestants.

According to the organizing committee, they received accusations regarding alleged violations and misconduct that could potentially affect the competition's outcome.

Impact on career and reputation

Speaking with VietNamNet, Hung Nguyen expressed his sadness and concern following the MTWO’s announcement, as it has directly impacted his career.

"Several event schedules and advertising contracts have been put on hold, causing certain difficulties in my work. However, I still firmly believe in the competition organizers and the relevant authorities," he stated.

After winning the title, Hung Nguyen was occupied with community projects and personal shows, but all activities have been halted due to the controversy.

Despite facing significant losses, the model remains resolute in his belief that he deserved the title and that the current challenges will not shake his determination.

"I will continue to give my best and never do anything that goes against my conscience," Hung Nguyen affirmed. He hopes that the matter will be resolved soon, with a clear conclusion, allowing him to continue fulfilling his mission as Mister Tourism World.

Regarding his future direction, Hung Nguyen said he plans to focus on expanding his commercial, advertising, and tourism activities, while also dedicating more effort to teaching. He hopes that his continuous efforts will spread positive values within the community.

Clarification from the organizing committee

Chu Tan Van, a representative of the competition’s organizing committee in Vietnam, stated that after receiving the announcement, he immediately contacted the international competition chairwoman but has yet to receive a response.

According to Van, under Vietnamese regulations, only competent state management agencies have the authority to revoke a title.

"According to Decree No. 144/2020/ND-CP of the Government, the organization and recognition of titles from beauty and modeling competitions in Vietnam must be conducted by licensed units. The Mister Tourism World 2025 competition was licensed by the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Ninh Thuan Province.

Therefore, any decisions related to the title must be reviewed and approved by the competent authority and the competition organizers," Van explained.

He also clarified that circulating information on social media regarding the suspension or revocation of the top six titles of Mister Tourism World is inaccurate.

The Vietnamese organizing committee is still communicating via email with the international MTWO organization to obtain the final results.
