The event will mark the second time that the Filipino beauty has visited the nation. According to the schedule, the beauty will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City on July 1 and will pay a visit to a number of popular destinations throughout the southern city.

Datul also showed her excitement at the prospect of retuning to Vietnam, noting her previous visit back in July, 2019, when she was greatly impressed by the dynamic and beautiful nature of Ho Chi Minh City. She was particularly impressed with its delicious traditional food, such as banh mi, a type of Vietnamese sandwich, and iced milk coffee.

Born in 1992, Mutya Johanna Fontiveros Datul is a Filipino fashion model, actress, and beauty queen who was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2013. She later became the first Asian and Filipino to win the title of Miss Supranational.

Miss Vietnam Sea and Islands 2022 aims to honour the beauty of Vietnamese women associated with the beauty of Vietnamese seas and islands. It will also help to promote Vietnamese tourism to international friends.
