In a shocking statement, Bilyk revealed that throughout the two weeks of the competition, she was required to participate in activities from 8 AM to 11 PM, and sometimes even until midnight. On one particular day, she worked from 3 AM to 11 PM while suffering from a high fever, with her temperature ranging between 37.5°C to 38.2°C for 11 consecutive days.

Her deteriorating health was documented by her personal doctor in Pattaya and a hotel physician at Wyndham Jomtien Pattaya, who confirmed that her blood pressure had reached dangerous levels (142/90 and 151/90).

"Despite MGI (Miss Grand International) being responsible for safeguarding my health as per the contract, they put my physical and mental well-being at severe risk," Bilyk stated. She accused the organizers of providing her with an unidentified pill, which posed a potential allergy risk. When she fainted, they failed to call a doctor and instead forced her to continue working with a temperature of 38.5°C and blood pressure at 151/90.

Moreover, Bilyk alleged that the organizers confiscated her passport for three days while she was in Cambodia, violating her freedom of movement. She has gathered extensive evidence, including 52GB of videos, photos, receipts, documents, messages, and work schedules, to support her claims.

Bilyk also stated that she and others received threatening calls and messages from MGI managers, violating personal rights and international law.

"Any attempts to spread misinformation or damage my reputation will be met with immediate legal action, including contacting Thai police and Interpol," she declared.

Kateryna Bilyk affirmed her right to pursue legal action and seek financial compensation for the damages caused by the organizers.

Following Bilyk's statement, Miss Grand International announced that her participation in the competition had been revoked due to breaches of several terms in the agreement she had confirmed and signed before joining.

The organizers stated they maintain the highest standards of integrity and professionalism, and all contestants are expected to adhere to the rules and agreements established.

Accompanying their announcement, the organizers shared a letter from Natalya Kovalyova, the National Director of Ukraine, who apologized to the Miss Grand International (MGI) organizers.

Kovalyova stated that Kateryna Bilyk withdrew from the Miss Grand International 2024 competition without prior notice. She expressed surprise and disappointment over Bilyk’s actions. Although the team provided maximum support when she fell ill, they were unable to control her behavior.

Kovalyova asserted that Kateryna Bilyk's actions were deeply disappointing and had affected the team's reputation.

Throughout the competition, Miss Grand International has faced various criticisms. To date, four representatives have withdrawn from the event, including those from Cambodia, Costa Rica, Hong Kong (China), and Ukraine.

The contestants are currently preparing for key segments, including the national costume presentation (October 20), semifinals (October 22), and the final round (October 25). Vietnam’s representative in the competition is Miss Grand Vietnam 2024, Vo Le Que Anh.
