VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has nominated its officials to the three most important positions of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) – the President, Vice President and General Secretary.

Deputy General Director of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training Pham Van Tuan is nominated for the VFF Vice Chairmanship.


According to VFF Chairman Nguyen Trong Hy, the Ministry has nominated four officials to the VFF Executive Board of the next term, including: Deputy Minister Le Khanh Hai for the VFF Chairmanship, Deputy General Director of the General Department of Sports and Physical Training Pham Van Tuan for the VFF Vice Chairmanship, and Director of the Department of Sports Tran Quoc Tuan for the VFF General Secretary and Rector of the HCM City University of Sports Le Quy Phuong as the permanent member.

VFF Chairman Hy said that the opportunity for the Ministry’s officials to win the election is very big because there are only two candidates for the VFF Chairmanship, Mr. Le Khanh Hai and Mr. Le Hung Dung, three for the VFF Secretary – Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, Mr Pham Ngoc Vien and Mr. Phan Anh Tu and two for the VFF Vice Chairmanship.

Hy said the VFF Standing Committee will meet on May 14 and one day later, VFF Executive Board will meet to finalize the list of candidates for the upcoming selection on June 5, at the VFF Congress.
