On Tuesday, a wood processing magnate and five members of his family were killed at home in Minh Hung Commune in Chon Thanh District. All had their throats slit.
When the family's housemaid, Doan Thi Cam Loan, arrived at the villa early in the morning on Tuesday to begin her work, she found wood processing magnate Le Van My, 48, his wife Nguyen Le Anh Nga, 44, and their two children, Le Quoc Anh, 15, and Le Anh Linh, 22, unresponsive. Two of My's relatives, Du Ngoc To Nhu, 18, and Du Minh Vinh, 14, were also unresponsive.
Police said robbery was the motive behind the killings. The security camera system in the house was found broken.
Thirty policemen from The Police Department of Criminal Investigation in Social Order (C45) and the Department of Criminal Technique (C54) under the Ministry of Public Security examined the crime scene.
Lieutenant General Trieu Van Dat, Deputy Head of the General Police Department of the ministry, also visited the scene for investigation.
