Construction started on the largest land wind farm in the delta in October 2020.

The first phase of the 138 million USD project is designed to have 26 wind turbines with a capacity of 3- 4.2 MW.

The project will cost around VND3.7 trillion (USD159.48 million), covering 27.7 hectares in Hoa Binh District’s Vinh Thinh and Vinh Hau communes.

The plant is expected to generate more than 280 million kWh of electricity annually and contribute VND80 billion to the state budget.

According to Pham Van Thieu, chairman of the provincial people’s committee, the province will create the best conditions for energy projects.
