The first store of McDonald's is under construction.

Designed in McDonald's global standards, the first store in Vietnam is 1300 m2, with 350 seats. The project began in August 2013, expected to be completed in early 2014 and will be opened after the lunar New Year 2014.

McDonald's Vietnam CEO, Mr. Nguyen Huy Thinh said this is the fast food outlet offering drinks, fast food, a playground for children and convenient 24-hour parking.

Thinh revealed, after 15 years of not opening stores in any country in the world, McDonald's began its journey in Vietnam - a new market - with many expectations.

Vietnam staff is participating in overseas training courses, while the products are imported at nearly 90 percent depending on which types. The first store of McDonald's in Vietnam will offer the purchase services without parking.

McDonald's has had 34,500 stores worldwide in 119 countries. More than 80 percent of these restaurants are owned and operated by locally independent firms.

Vietnam is one of 65 markets in the world of McDonald's franchise policy.
