On YouTube, people can find images and videos showing men using inkjet tattoo services (lip tattoo, eyebrow tattoo). Ngoc Son said he wants to appear before his fans in a healthy physical body with a beautiful appearance.

Son feels he looks more natural, while Khanh Phuong, 42, a singer, commented that he made the right decision.  Meanwhile, Kim Tu Long has confused the audiences with the comment ‘no change, but there are big changes’.

According to cosmetic doctors, women and celebrities, transgender people and businesspeople as well as ordinary people also have demand for cosmetic surgery to be better looking.

Nguyen Hong Son, Head of the Department of Surgery, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Rehabilitation under the Central Dermatology Hospital, said many men want to "upgrade" their facial beauty, have breast augmentation, buttock augmentation or abdominal liposuction services. Some of them want to have multiple services at the same time.

Son said that his department receives men who come for medical examinations and receive consultancy.

“Men have the same needs as women,” though they want different methods.

The doctor thinks that men are more demanding and always set stricter requirements.

For breast implant surgery, women often choose cuboid and large breast implants, while men choose square implants with smaller volume. For buttock augmentation, men often choose implants with square shape, instead of round shape as chosen by women.

Men also choose facelift, muscle lift, skin rejuvenation, anti-aging skin care, and services to treat dark spots and freckles and stretch marks. They also tend to order blepharoplasty. As for chin augmentation, women tend to demand surgery which can generate a V-line shape for their faces, while men prefer elongation, which can make the chin more prominent with square facial shape.

Pham Duy Linh a cosmetic surgeon from Duc Giang General Hospital, said many men need liposuction to build muscle, especially those who failed to apply normal methods such as diet and physical exercises to reduce weight.

However, Linh explained that men and women need different treatment methods because of their different biological structure. For example, for liposuction, fat density in men is thicker and denser than in women.
