Manchester City and Vietnam's national team will field their best players in their friendly match which is scheduled later this month in Hanoi, representatives of the Vietnam Football Federation and the English club confirmed at a press conference on July 10.

Manchester City have started their Asia Tour with training in Australia, where they will play three matches before flying to Vietnam on July 25.

They will take part in several activities and interact with Vietnamese fans before the match two days later at My Dinh Stadium.

Coach Toshyia Miura of Vietnam will return to work after his vacation next week, and will watch three rounds of the V.League 1 before selecting his squad.

The match will be aired live on VTV6 from 8pm.

A special rule for the friendly is that if the match finishes in a draw after 90 minutes, the two sides will face off in a penalty shootout.
