VietNamNet Bridge – The police of Can Tho City have reported an odd incident: A man took several venomous snakes to a motel and he died by snakebite there.

On February 24, Mr. Nguyen Son Dinh, from Vinh Long City, hired a room in the Ngoc Huong Motel, in Hung Phu Ward, Cai Rang District of Can Tho City. In his luggage was a net bag containing a live cobra.

Around 5pm on February 25, Dinh called home. He just whispered that he was bitten by snakes and stopped talking.

By positioning location on the phone, Dinh’s relatives identified the location of his cell phone and reported to the police.

When the police came to the motel, Dinh was dead, with a heel bruise caused by a snakebite. The snake was beaten to death shortly thereafter.

According to police, Dinh took a cobra of about 1.4 meters long and weighing more than 1kg to the motel.

The incident is being investigated by the Cai Rang district police.
