A team each from Malaysia, Laos and Thailand will take part in the 2016 VTV International Cycling Tournament later this month.
Their participation promises to make the event more competitive.
They will be up against 13 teams from Vietnam.
The tour will start in the central city of Da Nang on August 24 and end in Hanoi on September 2, Independence Day.
The cyclists will ride the distance of 1,300km in 10 stages, going through Thua Thien - Hue, Quang Binh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Nam Dinh and Hai Phong before finishing in the capital.
The event is organised by Vietnam Television, the Vietnam Cycling and Sport Motors Federation and Hoa Sen Group.
