Malaysia Airlines is "technically bankrupt", its chief executive has said, as he announced a restructuring programme and plans to cut about 6,000 jobs.

 Malaysia Airlines has warned of further losses in the second half of the year because of the two tragedies to hit the airline in recent months.

 Malaysia's state investment firm Khazanah Nasional has proposed a "complete overhaul" of troubled national carrier Malaysia Airlines.

 The first bodies recovered from the Malaysia Airlines plane which crashed in Ukraine last week are to be flown to the Netherlands for identification.
