Major festivals and recreational activities on public holidays
A broad array of diverse activities are being launched across the country in celebration of the upcoming National Reunification Day and International Labour Day. Let’s take a look at some of the exciting events.

The Rose Festival will open with the theme of “Fansipan - The land of roses amidst clouds” and is being held at the largest rose valley in Vietnam in Sa Pa in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai. Various activities are being held within the framework of Ha Long - Quang Ninh Tourism Week, including Ha Long Carnival, the opening of Yacht Night Street, Tran Quoc Nghien Festival, a kite flying festival, arts programmes, a dancing festival, a photo exhibition, and a trade fair.
A 100-booth tourism gift trade fair will take place in Hanoi, running from April 29 to May 1 at the pedestrian street around Hoan Kiem Lake. This is taking place as part of efforts to revive the local tourism and activities to welcome the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31). A firework show will be held in Ho Chi Minh City between 9 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on April 30 in celebration of 47 years since National Reunification Day. A wide range of cultural events will get underway to mark the occasion, including a photo exhibition to commemorate 47 years since National Reunification Day, and the 136th International Labour Day which was first held back on May 1, 1886.
