VietNamNet Bridge – Two local travel companies will join hands with their Macau partner to arrange three weekly chartered flights starting next month to transport tourists between Macau and HCM City.

The flights, with 180 seats each, will be jointly conducted by Macau’s Sun Star Travel Agency, Viking Travel Company in HCMC and Indochina Service in Hanoi. The first flight is scheduled on September 22.
The three companies will partner to operate chartered flights between HCMC and Macau for a year and will consider adding flights if the number of tourists on this route increases.
Tran Xuan Hung, director of Viking Travel Company, said apart from Vietnam tours for visitors from Macau, the company will organize trips for foreign tourists in HCMC to travel to Macau and Hong Kong by chartered services.
Hung said Indonesian passport holders will be among target customers for such chartered flights as Macau offers them a visa waiver. The company also eyes Vietnamese but they will have to wait for up to three weeks to get a visa.
Hung said representatives of 15-20 Vietnamese travel firms will be invited to explore tourism products and services in Macau to help promote the destination and provide guests for the chartered flights.
Viking Travel Company is also working on a plan to bring Indian tourists to Vietnam by chartered flight.
