The Ministry will also have formal decision on whether to extend the deadline for receiving applications for the position to the end of June 2013 or not.
"Our viewpoint is to respect personal opinions of Ly Nha Ky. She has asked to withdraw from the list of candidates of the Ambassador of Tourism 2013 and we cannot force her to continue," said Tinh.
According to the Department of International Cooperation, Vietnam may not have only one Tourism Ambassador. The Department is considering appointing several tourism ambassadors of regions, even an overseas representative.
At this moment, the Department of International Cooperation has received the application of Chau Mong Nhu, the first runner-up of the Miss Asia USA 2012 pageant, while the representative of actress Lan Phuong said the application would come soon.

An official from the Department of International Cooperation revealed that there are some other new candidates but he did not give any detail.
Earlier, when the focus was directed to the three candidates for the position of Tourism Ambassador 2013 - Ly Nha Ky, Huynh Thi Ngoc Han, Do Thi Hong Thuan – the most potential candidate Ly Nha Ky unexpectedly withdrew. The reason for the actress-businesswoman’s withdrawl is health and feeling tired of bad rumors about her private life.
Immediately after Ly Nha Ky’s withdrawal, some new candidates have appeared, including actress Lan Phuong, Miss Southeast Asia Dieu Han and the first runner-up of Miss Asia USA Chau Mong Nhu.
