VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese Ly Hoang Nam won his first round match at the Japan F2 Men’s Futures in Nishi-Tokyo yesterday.

Vietnamese Ly Hoang Nam wins his first round match at the Japan F2 Men’s Futures in Nishi-Tokyo on march 13.



Nam defeated Issei Okamura of the hosts 6-2, 6-2 in 71 minutes.

He will play the winner of the match between No 8 seed Jumpei Yamasaka of Japan and South Korean Lee Jea-moon, which will be played today.

In other matches that were played yesterday, Japanese Yuta Shimizu beat Noh Sang-woo 6-3, 7-5; Ibuki Furuta won 6-4, 6-4 over No 7 Masato Shiga in an all-Japanese match, and Japan’s Sho Katayama defeated countryman  Hiroyasu Ehara 6-3, 7-6 (5).

Nam also makes a team with Okamura to compete in the doubles category. The No 3 seed will play Japanese Gengo Kikuchi and Shunrou Takeshima in the first match today.

The Nishi-Tokyo event will wrap up on Sunday with US$15,000 bonus for players.
