The Vietnamese player will compete in the main round with 45 other rivals in the boys' singles category from January 17 to 22.

AGL Loy Yang Traragol is one of top tournaments for young players. The annual event usually lures the world's top 100 players.

Nam will later participate in the Australian Open's junior tourney, beginning on January 24.

Quyen tops fourth stage of cycling tournament

Cyclist Tran Van Quyen secured his win at the Ben Tre Television Cycling Tournament yesterday.

The Military Zone 7 rider finished first in the fourth 145km stage – from Long Xuyen City to Ha Tien Town – within the time of 3hr 57.03min.

It was Quyen's third win in a row, which has helped him to consolidate his top position in the green jersey race. Quyen now has 91 points, leaving his closet rival far behind with a distance of 11 points.

Tang Chi Hung of ADC-Television finished second during yesterday's race and jumped to the leading place in the overall rankings. He spent a total time of 10:03.04 to complete the stage.

Ha Thanh Tam of An Giang Plant Protection was down to second, followed by Dong.

ADC-Vinh Long Television maintained its position as the leading team ahead of Military Zone 7 and Domesco Dong Thap 1.

The next stage of the tournament will take place today and involves a distance of 150km from Ha Tien to Thot Not District of Can Tho Province.
