LucTeam will stage the famous play La cantatrice chauve (The Bald Soprano) by Eugène Ionesco on January 12.

First shown in Paris on May 11, 1950, The Bald Soprano was well received by audiences. The play is considered a pioneer of the “Theatre of the Absurd” or “tragicomedy” in the West in the 1950s.

By performing this famous play from a unique genre of theatre arts, stage director Tran Luc and his LucTeam – the first private professional drama troupe in Hanoi – wish to bring a new and exciting experience to the city’s theatrical scene.
