The Anti-Corruption, Waste, and Negative Behavior Steering Committee of Dong Nai Province held its 17th meeting to review and adjust the list of cases under monitoring and direct supervision.
During the meeting, the committee decided to remove three cases from the monitoring list, including:
Tax evasion and financial obligation violations at Long Duc Industrial Park (Long Thanh District).
A tax evasion case related to Binh Da residential area project (Binh Da Ward, Bien Hoa City).
Tax evasion involving Ha Loc Co., Ltd., linked to Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Long Thanh compensation case added to supervision
However, the committee has now added the Long Thanh International Airport project case to the list of cases under supervision. This case involves violations related to compensation, support, and resettlement regulations during land acquisition, as well as allegations of bribery and acceptance of bribes.
The Long Thanh International Airport is a key national project aimed at creating a major aviation hub for Southeast Asia. However, the project has faced numerous challenges related to compensation and resettlement of affected residents, leading to public discontent and allegations of misconduct.
Monitoring public assets at risk of waste
Additionally, the committee placed two public property sites at risk of waste under supervision:
The office building of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai, located in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.
Duong Van Thi Secondary School in Nhon Trach District.
The Steering Committee emphasized the need for relevant agencies and Party organizations to accelerate the investigation and resolution process, especially for cases monitored by the Central Anti-Corruption Steering Committee.
