HCMC-based model Kha My Van, the first runner-up title of Vietnam’s Next Top Model (VNTM) in 2012, has landed a modeling contract with ICE Models in Milan, Italy.
Le Thi Quynh Trang, producer of VNTM and chairwoman of HCMC-based beU Models, said her company will join hands with ICE Models to turn Van into a professional model and promote potential local models overseas in a long-term cooperation plan.
“I have been able to turn my dream into reality. I’m happy and excited after my recent visit to Milan. I’m thankful to have a great opportunity to work in Milan and I will try my best to meet audiences’ expectations and hope everyone will support me in a new challenge,” Van said in a statement.
The 26-year-old Van, 1.77 meters tall, has already joined in numerous castings for designers and brands in Milan to prepare for Milan Fashion Week next month.
Earlier, beU Models sent Nguyen Thi Tuyet Lan, VNTM 2010 runner-up to New York, under a modeling contract with Wilhelmina Models. Then, it brought VNTM 2011 winner Hoang Thi Thuy (or Hoang Thuy) to New York and London for work.
“We want to create opportunities for contestants of Vietnam’s Next Top Model to improve their knowledge and skills at home and abroad.
