Located on the scenic Son Tra Peninsula, Linh Ung Pagoda is one of Da Nang’s most renowned spiritual landmarks.

Offering breathtaking views of the sea, mountains, and city, this sacred site attracts thousands of visitors each year. Among them, South Korean tourist Kim Yo Hun was particularly moved by the temple’s architecture and tranquil ambiance.

A temple embraced by nature

Linh Ung Pagoda is situated about 10 km northeast of Da Nang’s city center, facing the vast ocean while being backed by the lush, ancient forests of Son Tra.

Visitors to the pagoda are treated to a panoramic view of the coastline, with the serene blue sky meeting the emerald-green mountains in a stunning natural harmony.

Standing tall within the temple grounds is the impressive 67-meter-high statue of Quan The Am Bodhisattva (Goddess of Mercy), resting on a 35-meter-wide lotus pedestal. The statue faces the sea, symbolizing protection and peace for fishermen and coastal communities.

"Linh Ung Pagoda is unlike any other I’ve visited. It has a unique architectural design, breathtaking natural scenery, and, most importantly, an incredibly peaceful atmosphere," Kim Yo Hun shared during his visit.

The pagoda’s sacred environment offers a sense of tranquility that many visitors find deeply moving. The gentle sounds of the wind, the scent of burning incense, and the distant murmur of ocean waves create an atmosphere of profound calmness.

Beyond its spiritual significance, Linh Ung Pagoda is also home to a diverse ecosystem. Golden monkeys roam freely around the temple grounds, often approaching visitors in search of food. These playful creatures have become accustomed to human presence, adding an element of charm to the serene surroundings.
