As a flower center of the southern region, Sa Dec flower village in Tan Qui Dong Commune, Sa Dec Town, Dong Thap province, specializes in flowers and ornamental plants. The flower-growing profession was formed here in the 1930s. After nearly 100 years, Sa Dec has become famous throughout the country with the cultivation of ornamental flowers and traditional bonsai.

When Tet comes, the village also starts its busiest season. Cars from everywhere come in crowds. All types of flowers and bonsai go to Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces in the Tet holiday.

Coming to this peaceful flower village, visitors can feel lost in a colorful world and the magical scent of flowers and ornamental plants. In the days before Lunar New Year, the village enters the period when the flowers bloom most brightly, and the atmosphere is busy. Many tourists come here to enjoy the scenery, take photos, buy Tet flowers or experience the life of the traditional flower gardeners.
