The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that, at the invitation of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasimalyev will pay an official visit to Vietnam from March 6 to 7.

Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan officially established diplomatic relations on June 4, 1992. However, the traditional friendship between the two nations dates back much earlier, forged through their shared struggles for national independence.

The government and people of Kyrgyzstan supported Vietnam’s past fight for independence and continue to support the country’s development today.

Since establishing diplomatic ties, Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan have consistently coordinated and supported each other in multilateral forums, particularly at the United Nations. Vietnam regards Kyrgyzstan as a key partner in Central Asia.

Following decades of development, the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Kyrgyzstan is expanding, creating new opportunities for cooperation, especially in the areas of economy, trade, and investment. Both sides have agreed to effectively implement the Free Trade

Agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and to strengthen collaboration in agriculture, education, healthcare, culture, sports, tourism, and aviation.
