Kyuhyun, a member of the band Super Junior, together with his manager and hair stylist, took their first trip to Vung Tau a few months ago. The trip lasted three days and two nights, with the itinerary planned by Kyuhyun himself.
The singer said he once visited VungTau during the boyband’s tour to HCM City in July 2024. At that time, he and the other two members flew to Vietnam several days before the performance day and spent their free time there.
He likes the coastal city, 100 kilometers far away from HCM City because of its beautiful landscapes, delicious food, and friendly, hospitable locals.
"That trip left me with fantastic memories. Vung Tau is one of my most favorite tourist destinations. I even wish to introduce this place to everyone," Kyuhyun shared.
In his latest comeback to Vung Tau, Kyuhyun decided to stay at a 4-star hotel on Truong Cong Dinh street, named by CNN in 2020 as one of 20 top newly opened hotels in Asia.
Kyuhyun booked a private apartment for a group of 3-4 people, with a cost of VND9 million for two nights.
The Korean artist revealed that he had previously stayed at the hotel last year and chose to return because of the hotel’s beautiful sea views and the wide array of fully equipped services.
"There are infinity pools from the 10th to the 18th floor, with views to Bai Truoc (Front Beach). Guests can stroll around and swim on any floor. This is a plus that makes me love this place," Kyuhyun said.
He said he liked the well-appointed, aesthetically pleasing space. From the main bedroom, one can admire the full beautiful sea. The room was on a high floor with a swimming pool, designed with one living room, two bedrooms and a kitchen area.

There was a large balcony next to the living room containing tables and chairs for guests to sip tea while gazing at the sea and streets below.
After exploring the room, Kyuhyun, along with his manager and hair stylist, took a walk around town and visited his favorite dining spot nearby, the banhkhot shop located on Hoang Hoa Tham Street in Ward 3.
The restaurant serves only two dishes, banh khot muc sua (squid banh khot) and banh khot tom (shrimp banh khot), but is always crowded with customers.
Kyuhyun ordered both types of banh khot and guided his companions on how to enjoy the dish. He noted that this is a famous snack in Vung Tau.
While savoring the food, Kyuhyun dipped the banh khot into the fish sauce and admitted feeling curious about whether the flavor would be as good as when he first tasted it.
"Oh my God, it's delicious. This dish is amazing when served hot, the crust is soft and fragrant with the smell of coconut milk. The seafood is also fresh, very different from the banh khot I've tried in HCM City," Kyuhyun told his manager.
The Korean artist said that banh khot is delicious whether eaten with or without fresh herbs, and on its own or wrapped with fresh vegetables.
Afterwards, he ordered another plate of squid banh khot for the group of three to share.
"I've visited several restaurants and eateries here. But when I return to Korea, banh khot is the dish I miss the most,” shared the Super Junior member.
The manager noted that banh khot has a sweet, unique taste, and said the most important factor determining the quality was freshness.
"This is a flavor I can't find in Korea," he said.
The three guests were surprised by the affordable price of the seafood banh khot, just VND65,000 VND per serving. Altogether, they paid VND230,000 for three servings of banh khot, along with soft drinks and wet tissues.
