The Embassy of the Republic of Korea (RoK) and the Korea Chamber of Business in Vietnam will host a ‘Korea Night’ on the evening of September 11 at the JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi.
The event will provide a platform for the RoK and ASEAN business leaders and policymakers to share their experiences of successful economic cooperation between the RoK and Vietnam and build connections to explore new business opportunities in the context of the fourth Industrial Revolution.
Korean enterprises spearheading innovation in information technology, smart cities, and factory automation are suitable partners for ASEAN countries striving to realise the opportunities of the fourth Industrial Revolution, said Kim Do-Hyon, RoK Ambassador to Vietnam.
The upcoming Korea Night will be special because this is the first ever event to be held outside Davos. This is a vivid reminder of Hanoi’s enhanced global prestige as Southeast Asia’s regional economic and business hub and Vietnam’s pivotal position in the RoK’s foreign policy and business interests, he added.
The ‘Korea Night’ is held on the occasion of the 2018 World Economic Forum (WEF) on ASEAN and will draw the participation of Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-Wha; one of the six co-chairs of the Forum and Federation of Korean Industries Chairman Huh Chang-soo; Vietnamese Government officials; business leaders of the RoK and ASEAN; as well as WEF delegates.
The event will also feature a musical performance by Korean and Vietnamese artists.-VNA
