According to information given by global sports website Sofascore, Thanh made 12 important saves in the two defeats against the United States and Portugal, conceding five goals in the process.
Daniela Solera of Costa Rica topped the list with 20 saves whilst also conceding five goals.
The ESPN website reported that Kim Thanh, who helped restrict world champions the US to only three goals in Vietnam's opening defeat, was once again key in ensuring they did not concede more than two in the game against Portugal.
Goalkeeper Kim Thanh, 26, is known as the shield of the Vietnamese national women’s football team.
Donning the jersey of Ho Chi Minh City, Thanh helped her team to triumph at the National Women’s Football Championship in 2010, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019. In the jersey of the national team, she won the SEA Games in 2017, 2019, 2022, and 2023; the 2019 AFF Cup; and finished third at the 2018 AFF Cup.
After two losing matches against the US and Portugal, Vietnam are bottom of Group E with zero points and have therefore been eliminated from the competition.
The Golden Star Women's Warriors will play their final match against 2019 World Cup finalist Holland on August 1.
