From January 6 to January 8, the Central Inspection Committee convened its 53rd session, chaired by Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and Chairman of the Committee.
The Committee reviewed reports on violations by Party members in various localities, including Khanh Hoa, Bac Giang, Lang Son, Binh Duong, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Nguyen Tan Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial People’s Committee, and Chairman of Khanh Hoa Province, was found to have violated Party rules and state laws in performing his duties.
These violations included shortcomings in anti-corruption efforts and adherence to Party principles, which resulted in significant consequences, reducing the credibility of Party organizations and local authorities.
Other notable violations
Le O Pich, a Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development in Bac Giang Province, and Ly Vinh Quang, a former Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of Lang Son Province, were found guilty of ethical and political lapses. Their actions seriously impacted the credibility of Party organizations and local governments.
Nguyen Hoang Thao, former Deputy Secretary of the Binh Duong Provincial Party Committee, and Vo Thanh Duc, former Chief of the Binh Duong Police Department, were disciplined for violating democratic centralism principles and negligence in combating crime.
Nguyen Nhu Hieu, Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was found to have violated Party and state regulations while carrying out his responsibilities. His actions also reduced the reputation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Disciplinary decisions
Based on the nature and severity of the violations, the Committee issued warnings to Nguyen Hoang Thao, Vo Thanh Duc, and Nguyen Nhu Hieu, while Nguyen Tan Tuan received a reprimand.
The Committee also recommended disciplinary actions by higher authorities for Le O Pich and Ly Vinh Quang.
The session also reviewed other matters, including oversight of the Vietnam Red Cross Society’s leadership and adherence to operational regulations. Violations in organizational management, finance, asset usage, and investment projects were identified, prompting the Committee to demand serious self-criticism and rectification.
The Committee commended efforts by Party organizations in implementing inspection conclusions and urged further compliance to prevent future violations.
In addition, the Committee discussed amendments to inspection and disciplinary regulations, resolved a disciplinary appeal, and addressed other critical matters.
