Kelly Rowland, an American singer, songwriter, actress and television personality, will join Vietnamese and foreign artists in the sixth Hennessy Artistry at the Hanoi Opera House on April 17.
She will give performance together with Australia’s Timomatic, the Republic of Korea’s rock band Nemesis and Vietnam’s singer Nguyen Thuy Trang.
Rowland rose to international fame when she was 16 years old, playing for Destiny’s Child band – one of the world’s best-selling girl groups of all time.
She has sold over 27 million records as a solo artist and 60 million records with Destiny's Child. Her work has earned her several awards and nominations, including four Grammy Awards, a Billboard Music Award, and a Soul Train Music Award.
Nguyen Thuy Trang was born in Hanoi and moved to settle in France when she was 10 years old. She had passion for arts but worked as a genuine singer after she returned to HCM City.
In 2011 she released her first single Like a Dream – the song presented in the blockbuster Long Flies. Several months later, she introduced her first album Runaway – a collection of song written in Vietnamese, French and English.
In 2012 she presented three songs Version of You, Gone Gone Gone and Don’t Turn Your Back in another blockbuster Scandal, which shortly became hits among teenagers.
Timomatic or Tim Omaji is a Nigerian-born Australian singer, song writer and dancer. In November 2011 he released his first single Set it Off, which peaked at number two on the ARIA Singles Chart and was certified four times platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association.
Established in 1997, Nemesis consist of Noh Seung ho (lead vocals), Ha Se bin (lead guitar, piano), Jeon Gui seung (guitar, backing vocals), Choi Sung woo (bass), Jung Eui seok (drums). They embark on K-pop and K-rock.
