VietNamNet Bridge – ‘Jazz Viet 2012’ organized by Vietnam’s Association of Musicians will take place on Sunday at the Opera House at 1 Trang Tien Street, Hanoi.

The program will have the participation of popular artists/instructors including saxophonist Phan Anh Dung, Hoang Long, Phan Kien, Vu Duc Tan and Duc Thuy and jazz quartet Thang Long comprising of Dung’s students.
The artists will contribute 16 classic jazz pieces, including Chiec la cuoi cung (the last leaf) (Tuan Khanh), Thanh pho tre (young city) (Tran Tien) and Cao Bang (Nguyen Vinh Tien).
According to organizers, the highlight of the event will be Dung’s songs Nho ban (missing a friend), Giai dieu vung cao (melody of a mountainous region), Nho rung (missing forest) and some debut pieces like Thoi gian (time), Chieu (evening) (Phan Kien - Anh Dung) and Pho! (street) (Phan Anh Dung).
Musician Tuan Nghia and a xam (song of a strolling blind musician) group directed by artist Quang Long will bring an experiment to the stage where they perform saxophone in the rhythm of a xam song Muc ha vo nhan.
Tickets are VND700,000, VND500,000, VND300,000 with students only paying VND100,000.
