The Japanese fast-food restaurant chainoperator said it will partner with Vietnam’s Da Nang Vocational Tourism Collegeto launch a training programme titled “Betonamu Kazoku” (Vietnam Family).

It will also include Japanese languagecourses to obtain the new skills-based visa system introduced in April underthe restaurant industry category.

Graduates will be employed for up to fiveyears at MOS Burger restaurants and other stores operated by the company underthe same conditions as Japanese full-time regular employees.

MOS Food plans to expand into theVietnamese market in 2020. Programme alumni who have worked in Japan may beoffered continued employment at Vietnamese outlets.

The first round of skill tests for Japan’snew types of working visas will take place overseas for the first time in thePhilippines this November. The tests are set to be held in Vietnam so that thecountry could send students to work in Japan in 2020.

Japan’s new visa system will be applicableto 14 industrial fields and job categories, which is expected to attract moreforeign workers and reduce the country’s severe labour shortage over the years./. VNA
